Wenner-Gren Center: Data-driven upgrade for an iconic landmark
How do you spark digital interest in one of Stockholm’s most famous buildings? Working closely with Stockholm Design Lab (SDL), we combined their visual concept with our technical expertise. Together, we laid the foundation for Wenner-Gren Center’s next chapter.
Since autumn 2025, we have worked with Fabege to shape the digital presence of Wenner-Gren Center. The property recently saw its first major physical upgrade in 60 years in order to meet the future's demands for flexibility and service. Our job was to make sure the digital customer journey reflected this modernisation. To achieve this, we delivered a strategic project site in Optimizely 12. It now optimises the path from an initial search all the way to a new tenant moving in.

The challenge: From technical upgrade to strategic sales engine
As Wenner-Gren Center underwent physical renovations, its digital presence needed to keep pace. Put simply, a traditional local website was not enough to convey the vision for this new, modern landmark.
The key challenge was to translate SDL's advanced visual concept into a functional and smooth web experience. The design had to be visually striking, but also:
Conversion-driven: We used clear calls to action (CTAs) and streamlined forms to boost registrations of interest..
Accessible: We worked to bridge the creative vision with strict accessibility (WCAG) requirements.
Time-efficient: We managed the project under significant time pressure to meet a strict deadline.
The solution: A seamless experience built on modules
Our goal was to build a platform where code, design, and content work together seamlessly to provide a frictionless user journey.
Flexible architecture: We developed a set of purpose-specific blocks that give Fabege’s editors significantly more freedom to influence and shape the page layout directly within Optimizely.
Smart navigation: We introduced a 'sticky' navigation menu to keep essential links visible at all times.
Iteration and strategy: Working closely with Fabege, we weighed technical solutions against actual usability. This ensured a stable, future-proof site.
The result: A roadmap for digital growth
The project delivered a modern, visually appealing platform ready to welcome future tenants.
Maximised conversion: By naturally blending registration forms into the user flow, we shortened the path to conversion.
Streamlined administration: Editors are now less reliant on technical support to create and update content.
Scalable value: Fabege can reuse the new components across other parts of their website. This ensures a consistent digital presence overall.
