The largest full-service agency you've never heard of

Technology, creativity and business acumen. Bombayworks' digital overall solution has caused the agency to grow rapidly in popularity.

– Today we are in a completely different position than four or five years ago, both in terms of size and competence and references, says Niklas Roupé, CEO and co-founder of the company.

Since its inception in 2007, Bombayworks has evolved into a full-service digital agency, doing everything from designing and developing digital apps and services to building websites, intranets and campaigns.

– We established ourselves as a production agency, working with all the well-known advertising agencies, with a focus on delivery rather than being visible. But as customers demanded more from their digital initiatives, we have added more and more skills, such as UX designers, editors, analysts, strategists and testers to be able to help them directly without intermediaries. We have truly evolved into a full-service agency that can help with everything digital for large clients such as Electrolux EMEA, the Orkla Group and AcadeMedia, says Niklas Roupé.

Today, the company has approximately 75 employees and offices in Stockholm, Malmö and Mumbai (formerly called Bombay). However, it is not just the geographical spread that makes the agency stand out from the crowd.

– Above all, we have become good at handling site installations on a very large scale, it can be hundreds of sites. It can be a challenge, because it requires constantly balancing central and local needs. For example, we manage Electrolux's design and UX throughout Europe. We set digital strategies, do the analysis work and roll out all new functions. In addition, we create all new marketing material and support all digital managers around Europe, says Niklas Roupé.

Another major assignment is for the Norwegian FMCG group Orkla, which has close to 200 brands in its global portfolio.

– There we have designed and implemented a technical solution so that all the company's brands can use a uniform platform.

A digital agency for those looking for long-term digital growth

Bombayworks helps its clients build digital growth. This requires long-term work with close customer relationships. This long-term perspective is particularly important in special times – such as these – and it requires that customers are aware of how digital drives their business over time.

– The type of customers that Bombayworks primarily helps are large Nordic companies, with a budget in our market, but which serve the whole world. In this type of project, we can really benefit from our experience, says Niklas Roupé

As the company grows, they are constantly looking to recruit more cutting-edge expertise, and therefore they have invested heavily in creating a pleasant workplace and a healthy corporate culture.

– We make sure to create valuable hours that we can charge for, and by doing so we don't have to work overtime to make ends meet – instead we make sure to complete our assignments during normal working hours, says Veronica von Feilitzen, office manager in Stockholm.

To create participation and well-being, various tools are used to give employees the opportunity to provide input and continuously provide feedback. It is of great importance that there is a high ceiling.

– The digital feedback system Impraise allows us to easily give each other feedback. We encourage and encourage each other while giving constructive feedback for the opportunity to develop. Every other week, everyone in the company also gets to answer five questions in Officevibe, a tool that allows any thoughts or ideas to be raised. Some of the questions are answered directly and others are first discussed in our Officevibe group.

In addition to initiatives such as wellness and book clubs, Bombayworks really tries to encourage personal development. Each employee has access to a personal coach who helps with issues concerning both career and private life. You also have access to a training budget that can be used for conferences, study trips and the like.

–In addition to what already exists, we really want to encourage initiatives from employees. Everyone is allowed to come up with ideas and we are happy to pay for various activities that we believe benefit the employees, and indirectly also the company. For example, we have paddled kayaks and played football and squash. We also run several races together, where we represent Bombayworks, says Veronica von Feilitzen.

– We have grown a lot in recent years, and are proud to be able to take such good care of our employees, while at the same time having among the best margins in the industry. This is because we combine efficiency and well-being. We usually call ourselves 'a modern digital consulting company with a friendly orientation, says Niklas Roupé.
