When the newly launched newspaper Skånes Folkblad set out to establish itself, they started from scratch. Through workflow mapping, a digital strategy, and vibecoding, we provided them with efficient, modern ways of working without heavy manual processes. From initial idea and interface design, we delivered a complete AI-assisted editorial tool.
Skånes Folkblad had the vision and drive to launch a newspaper from the ground up, but as a new organization, they needed smart tools that could centralize the newsroom's daily tasks in one place. When reporters spend less time on repetitive routines and fragmented systems, daily production becomes more efficient, freeing up more time for quality journalism.

To meet their needs, one of our consultants with an editorial background worked directly alongside the team at Skånes Folkblad. The project combined strategy, content flows, and development through an iterative process:
Strategy and process design: We mapped the newsroom's daily routines—from the initial news pitch and planning to image handling, article creation, page proofing, social media, and analytics.
UX and UI: A unified, stripped-down interface was designed to make previously complex, time-consuming features easy to use under tight deadlines.
Vibe coding development and integrations: The platform was built using Claude vibe coding (React, TypeScript, Tailwind) integrated with the team's existing tools like WordPress, Slack, and Plausible analytics.
AI and content optimization: We integrated smart AI models for text processing, image handling, proofreading, SEO optimization, and format adaptations for social media platforms.
A central hub for daily editorial operations
The result was a comprehensive internal editorial tool and intranet that gathers everything Skånes Folkblad needs into a single view. AI is used to assist and streamline, but the editor always retains final approval across all workflows.
By automating time-consuming steps and bringing tools together under one roof, Skånes Folkblad gained a flexible, scalable digital workspace. The small newsroom can now operate with speed and precision, dedicating most of its time to quality journalism.
Features included in the tool:
Writing support, prompt library, and publishing: A text editor featuring real-time support for research, headline writing, proofreading, and SEO analysis. Finished articles export pre-formatted directly to WordPress as drafts with correct author attribution and block structures. A shared prompt library—along with options to create personal prompts—simplifies text generation.
Smart image and video management: Editors can quickly crop, compress, and color-adjust images, as well as generate AI-driven captions and alt text for improved accessibility and SEO. The team can also create vertical slideshows (9:16) for TikTok and Instagram Reels or produce GIFs, always pre-loaded with logos and templates in place. A WordPress integration delivers all media straight to its target location. Tasks that previously required multiple programs and steps are now completed in just a few clicks.
Channel adaptation and tracking: With a single click, the tool generates tailored posts for Facebook, Instagram, and Bluesky, complete with automated UTM links and traffic analytics to monitor reader engagement.
Digital page proofing: For the print newspaper and e-paper, a visual proofing workspace allows editors to leave comments, draw directly on pages with a digital pen, and approve editions in real time. Once all PDF pages are approved for publication, an e-paper is generated with one click.
Push notifications and intranet: Direct and scheduled push notifications with automatic UTM links, backed by AI for rapid text suggestions.
Planning: A shared Kanban board and task calendar with Slack reminders keeps production on track. An integration between the word processor and prompt library automatically adds new drafts straight to the schedule.
Intranet: The tool includes an integrated intranet for internal routines and key company information.
