Capitalism can save the environment! Recycla.se offers free recycling assistance online. Submit your request and allow recycling companies to bid on your junk. Lots of functionality where processeses from quote to invoice is automated. Now, your request is the beginning of a better environment for all of us.

Assignment

Sebastian Tamm had for ten years worked in the recycling business, but felt that there was missing a marketplace for recycling materials. The idea was born and in 2010 and he left the company, Hans Andersson Recycling, to start Recycla.se.

The website would bring together recycling companies and individuals who needed help with their waste management and recycling.

In the back of the head was similar services in completely different areas such as Offerta and Service finder. The basic idea was to let visitors make requests for proposals to matching recycling operators.

SEO was extremely important to save on the otherwise huge marketing expenses that come with starting a business. How we succeeded? Test yourself by searching on Google for combinations containing the word "återvinning".

Solution

The basic information that the system would handle is requests for proposal, customers and contracts. From a flow perspective, the following steps exists in the solution:

1st The visitor creates an RFQ (New)
2nd The administrator compliment the request with his industry knowledge, quote value and price.
3rd The request is automatically matched against recycling companies preference of materials, business area and counties and is then sent to all relevant companies. (Sent)
4th If a company wishes to respond to a request for quotation, they click on their unique e-mail link that automatically logs the company on recycla.se where they can confirm their purchase of the contact information. (Viewed) The compnay can also purchase quote requests directly on recycla.se where they easily can sort all incoming requests for proposal.
5th As soon as the company purchase the contact information the system creates a contract between the company and recycla.se; containing date, company and RFQ reference and if the invoice sent to the company.

Bombayworks UCMS handles a record of 443 recycling companies, 532 recycling centers, 5950 recycling stations and includes a recycling guide on over 100 pages.
