Assignment

In collaboration with Volontaire and Elanders our mission was to demonstrate Mora's product range by using information from their existing product database. The applications are mostely developed for field sales staff and store personnel, but also end users who normally get Mora's printed product catalog.

To increase the usefulness of the app we added a studio feature making it possible for users to test different taps in their home environment. A favorite list makes it possible to easily save their favorite taps.

Part of the app is also Mora energy calculator where you easily can figure out what you save by replacing an old faucet.

Solution

Applications are programmed in Objective-C (iPhone) and Java (Android) and integrates by xml to Mora's product catalog. The individual apps syncs their data against the latest xml files at startup to ensure that the information is always up to date.

By choosing different taps in the foreground when shooting your home environment, you can be sure to get a good background photo when using the studio. You then mark the old tap with your finger and the app will replace this area using the surrounding image data through an algorithm. Results are almost life-like images of how Moras faucets can look in your kitchen or bathroom.
