In collaboration with Göteborg International Film Festival (GIFF) and SCP, we got to produce this year's Dragon Award for New Talent.
In addition to a whole new look was a desire to automate the upload to publish movie process. Neither the user or administrator would need membership or credentials; everything should be handled through e-mails with unique links for the preview, modification or publication of movies. An assignment with great finish and a lot of functionality.
We coded the web site entirely in HTML, CSS and JavaScript to make it accessible from mobile devices. We integrated the system with Google, Facebook and Twitter to show unique visitors and to spread it on social media.
Movies are uploaded through a Java applet directly to a FTP server for HTML5 conversion. A user receive an automated email when the movie is converted and can preview, make adjustments and finally approve the film for publication. The administrator of GIFF will then automatically receive an e-mail where he can see the entire contribution before he decides to accept the entry.
