We received the prestigious contract to develop Nestlé Barnvagnsutmaningen for Volontaire. A GPS based pedometer app that would be extraordinary.

The requirements listed included an advanced GPS tracker, a possibility to see your friends' "fika" location, get performance medals, participate in monthly challenges, receive coupons and offers via SMS, see your history, statistics and top charts.

The application is designed with dynamic content in mind, in order to enable the client to add new challenges, medals and offers.

SOLUTION

The app was developed for iOS in Objective-C with fully dynamic content through Bombayworks CMS. The user does not have to register an account, instead Facebook connect was used to retrieve the user name and profile picture. The Facebook connection also implies that you can see which of your friends that is using the app and easily invite new friends with the touch of a button. The various charts (distance, time, and medals) focuses on your friends as your collaborators, or perhaps worst opponents.

The client can easily create new medals, add challenges and create different types of offers which makes the app always up-to-date and fun to use again and again.
